Original images held at Great Lakes Museum An original military studio portrait of Norma Verdella Avery circa 1945. Norma was born in Tuncurry, N.S.W. 27 March 1906 daughter to Francis Avery. Norma enlisted for service 17 April 1944 in Bathurst and was posted into the 104 Australian General Hospital. She was discharged from service 5 December 1946. Contact Great Lakes Museum as copyright restrictions may apply. Handwritten in blue pen on photo reverse: ‘Norma Avery’ A head and shoulders portrait of a woman wearing a nurse’s hat and uniform. She has a white collar and a patch with a cross on her chest. Her lips are in a half smile. PN000765
